Meter Reading Monday – 7th April 2014

Hey Guys,

I have been a little bit bad this week. I have used so much electricity this week, as I have been playing a lot of Crash Bandicoot on the Playstation 1, along with my daily fix of DVD’s. I normally only play on the PS1 overnight when my electricity is half price, but this week I played so much more. Although once in a while isn’t THAT bad I don’t think.

Water (Yorkshire Water)

Standing Charge – £2

Units: This week my water meter reading is 00028.785, means I have used 0.314 of water these last 7 days. Again, little bit higher than my goal of 0.250 per week, but it’s not that bad. Also as I have not hit 28 main units yet so I do not need to make any unit payments this week.

Gas (SSE / Ebico)

Gas meter this week is 3449 and as always, a £0 bill.

Electricity (SSE / Ebico)

  • Rate 1 this week is 00551, Means I have used 15 units @ £0.1994 per unit = £2.92
  • Rate 2 this week is 00134, Means I have used 4 units @ £0.0733 per unit = £0.29

Total this week including VAT = £3.37

It really is bad that I class £3.37 as being a massive electricity bill this week. When normal households use 4 times as much. But then again I am used to paying £1-£2 per week.

As you can see from above I have rounded £3.37 to £4, this is just because I like to have round numbers on my bank statement, and my SSE account will very slowly start building up some credit. So it’s a win-win.
