Meter Reading Monday – 30th December 2013

Hey Guys,

Now Christmas is out of the way it’s nice to see the world getting back to normal again. Today I have finished the rest of the food in the fridge so my fridge / freezer is back off again and next week the Meter Reading Monday should have my electricity back down to around the £1.16 mark once more.

But for now here is this weeks breakdown:

Water (Yorkshire Water)

Today’s reading is 00023.581. This means I have used 0.463 units of water. Seeing as I am still on 00023 main units and not hit 00024 yet I do not need to make any payment this week.

Gas (Scottish Power)

No gas used again this week. So for the 46th week running I have a reading of 3449 with a £0 bill.

Electricity (Ebico/SSE)

  • Rate 1 this week is 00452, means I have used 23 units at £0.1994 a unit = £4.58. (excluding VAT)
  • Rate 2 this week is 00110, means I have used 4 units at £0.0768 a unit = £0.31. (excluding VAT)

This means this weeks electric total including VAT £5.13

I really need to work hard on my electricity next year, this is my new years resolution. My goal last year was to hit less than £2 a week and I have done it (apart from the last 3 weeks due to the holiday period). The target for this year I want to try and hit £1 a week, then I will have a yearly bill of £52. Love it!

Till tomorrow,

Newt x
