Meter Reading Monday – 2nd June 2014

Hey Guys,

Today’s Meter Reading Monday blog is a little different. I’m currently away with Dan and Bella for a few days, but I took my meter readings at the weekend before we left, so this weeks blog will be 6 days usage instead of the normal 7.

Also over the last month or so we have had 3 Bank Holiday Monday’s and due to this some on my normal Monday payments have not come out of my bank, because of it being a bank holiday, so today’s blog will be catching up on that too.

Water (Yorkshire Water)

Weekly Standing Charge – £2

Plus 2 out of the 3 last Bank Holiday Monday’s the £2 weekly payment had not come out of my bank, so I have today sent an extra £2 payment to make up for this and to bring everything back in-line again. Have I ever mentioned how much I hate bank holidays? Lol

Units:
This week my water meter reading is 00032.503, means I have used 0.161 of water these last 7 days. As my weekly goal is 0.250 units per week I am well under my target that I am very pleased about. Also I do not need to make any payment for my units this week as I have not hit 33 main units yet.

Gas (Ebico / SSE)

Gas meter this week is 3449 and as always, a £0 bill.

Electricity (Ebico / SSE)

  • Rate 1 this week is 00614, Means I have used 5 units @ £0.1994 per unit = £0.97
  • Rate 2 this week is 00144, Means I have used 1 units @ £0.0733 per unit = £0.07

Total this week including VAT = £1.09

SSE 1

As always, I have rounded the £1.50 up to £2, as I always like to have round numbers on my bank account, plus this also get’s my SSE account slowly into credit without me even thinking about it.

On 26th May Bank Holiday Monday I had used £1.30 of Electricity that week and the payment did not go out of my back due to the Bank Holiday. So I have today sent £2, again to round it up.

SSE 2

So yep, there we have it, all 100% up-to date again after all the bank holidays since Easter.
