It’s been a strange week this week regarding water. As you know my weekly target unit is 0.250 per week (a quarter of a unit), but the man who lives next door to me, well his washing machine has broken down. He was going to use the laundrette at £3 per load, me being such a nice person offered him my washer to use for £2, so he is is making a saving, plus I am covering my bills with a little extra. So it’s win-win situation for both of us. He has done 4 loads of washing this week so I have made £8. I have no idea how long this will go on for, but it might be a couple of weeks, hopefully it’s not long term.
Water (Yorkshire Water)
Weekly standing charge – £2
Units: This week my water meter reading is 00030.535, means I have used 1.194 of water these last 7 days. I knew it would be over due to what I said at the start of the blog. As I have also hit 00030 main units I do need to make a £4 payment for that 1 unit.
Gas (Ebico / SSE)
As always, reading of 3449 & a £0 bill.
Electricity (Ebico / SSE)
- Rate 1 this week is 00577, Means I have used 15 units @ £0.1994 per unit = £2.92
- Rate 2 this week is 00137, Means I have used 0 units @ £0.0733 per unit = £0.00
Total this week including VAT = £3.06
As always, I have rounded £3.06 to £4 as I like round numbers on my bank statement, also means my SSE account will be slowly going into credit without me even knowing.
As for the washing machine stuff I spoke about at the start of this blog….I have asked him to bring his washing round at 10.30pm, put it in ready etc and I will turn it on at around 3.00am, he can then collect it when he wakes up. This means I can get it done while I have the cheap electricity unit rate.
