I’m not sure about the rest of the UK, but here in Yorkshire the cold really hit last week, it really was bitterly cold. So I had to ask myself, do I 1) pop the heater on? or 2) suffer a few days of this cold weather till my body acclimatizes?
I went for the latter and very pleased I did. I had 2 days of feeling freezing, not leaving my bed (only to walk Bella), moaning at friends, shouting at anyone, I was generally in a bad mood. However after a few days I was fine again, back to sleeping in the nude, back to working at my desk in the evenings and not jumping into bed to keep warm – hey I have even had the bedroom windows open a few times. So yep, I’m totally back to normal now!
Anyway, I guess we better crack on with this weeks reading.
Weekly Standing Charge – £2
Units: This week my water meter reading is 00042.975, means I have used 0.215 these last 7 days, just under my weekly 0.250 target so it’s all good!
Gas meter this week is 3449 and as always, a £0 bill.
Reading this week is 00046, Means I used 5 units @ £0.1591 per unit = £0.84 (including VAT)
As normal I have rounded the £0.84 up to £1 so my SSE Account can climb into credit without me even thinking about it. Started doing this with Yorkshire Water last year and now my account with Yorkshire Water is always in credit by around £25 and growing, but hey, at least I will never get into debt!
Till next time,
