Meter Reading Monday – 1st September 2014

Hey Guys,

I was reading yesterday how ITV are bringing back Stars In Their Eyes. I’m really happy with this as when I was a child we always used to sit down, as a family, have a takeaway and watch good quality Saturday night telly. Stars In Their Eyes was one of the best shows on TV back in the 90’s. It was a shame when Matthew Kelly left and Cat from SMTV:Live took over then it sort of went downhill them and was axed a few years later.

But hey, it’s nice that it’s coming back. Shame it will be with Harry Hill and not Matthew Kelly. As long as they keep the show to how it used to be and not celeb/glam it up then it will be a ratings winner.

Anyhow, let’s crack on with Meter Reading Monday……

Water (Yorkshire Water)

Weekly Standing Charge – £2

yw (1)

Units: This week my water meter reading is 00038.583, means I have used 0.070 units of water these last 7 days. I give myself a weekly target of 0.250 so I can have a target of 1 full unit of water a month. It’s a hard target to beat I will grant you that, but this week is so crazy it must be wrong. How can 1 man and his dog use only 0.070 units of water in 7 days? I’ve checked it 3 times and it still comes out the same. So it must be right. Well we will see what happens next week.

Gas (Ebico / SSE)

Gas meter this week is 3449 and as always, a £0 bill.

Electricity (Ebico / SSE)

  • Rate 1 this week is unknown, Means I have used 0 units @ £0.1994 per unit = £unknown
  • Rate 2 this week is unknown, Means I have used 0 units @ £0.0733 per unit = £unknown

Total this week including VAT = £unknown

My electricity meter has been broken for 9 weeks now and It’s starting to piss me off a little. The check meter has been installed 3 weeks and the man is coming tomorrow to get the meters so we are getting there slowly. However it’s a pain not having my weekly £1 target to best. Hopefully I will soon have a fresh new meter and then we can get back to normal again.
