I am very surprised this week. If you follow me on Twitter or have me on Facebook you will remember my washing machine broke down, after some very heated tweets and a number of phone calls with Head Office they finally agreed to fix the machine for free. However when the bloke was here it did use a stupid amount of water and electricity to fix the problem. While I understand it was needed, as a money saver it was awful thinking of the waste. Anyway, let’s crack on…..
Water (Yorkshire Water)
Weekly Standing Charge – £2
Units: This week my water meter reading is 00033.149, means I have used 0.455 of water these last 7 days. As my weekly goal is 0.250 units per week I am over. But I am very very happy that I am over by such a small amount as I was worried I might of used 1 or even 2 units this week., so I am very happy with 0.455.
Also, as I have now hit 33 main units I do need to make a extra £4 payment this week.
Gas (Ebico / SSE)
Gas meter this week is 3449 and as always, a £0 bill.
Electricity (Ebico / SSE)
- Rate 1 this week is 00630, Means I have used 4 units @ £0.1994 per unit = £0.80
- Rate 2 this week is 00146, Means I have used 1 units @ £0.0733 per unit = £0.07
Total this week including VAT = £0.91
As always, I have rounded the £0.91 up to £1, as I always like to have round numbers on my bank account, plus this also get’s my SSE account slowly into credit without me even thinking about it.
I am also very very pleased that I have got under £1 this week. I was so worried due to how much electricity the washing machine needed while it was getting fixed, but really am over the moon at under £1.
