9th September 2013 – Meter Reading Monday

Hey Guys & welcome to Meter Reading Monday One Day Late…

Again, sorry this weeks Meter Reading Monday is one day late. I was down in the big bad city yesterday (called London to normal people) and was going the Alan Titchmarsh Show. Must admit, I really had a great time.

Anyway, today back ti the meter readings…

Gas has not changed again this week and for the 8th month in a row has a reading of 3449 and a £0 gas  bill.

Water: Normally I do not use mains water as I hate the £14 a month charges before you even use any water. But this month I am doing some market research on soap powder, due to this I have spoken with Yorkshire Water and we have agreed that I will phone up at the end of this month and tell them how many units I have used where I will then make a debit card payment. This way I do not need to start paying the rip off monthly charges.

This week my water meter reading is 00016. This means I have used 6 units of water costing £18.00.

  • Rate 1 reading: 00207. Which means I have used 19 units this week costing £3.53.(excluding VAT).
  • Rate 2 reading: 00062. Which means I have used 5 units this week costing £0.35. (excluding VAT).

This means this week bill including VAT is £4.07.

This has been my best week since July and the cheapest. But this is not as good as it sounds, if you think about it while it is a full week (Tuesday 3rd – Tuesday 10th), I was away in London at the ITV Studios all day yesterday so really it’s 6 days usage.

Just like my teacher used to make me say at school….. I will try harder.

Till tomorrow,

Newt x
